Bio

Julie Snyder has over 40 years of experience in nursing, with over 25 years spent in various roles as a nurse educator. She received her Masters in Nursing Education at Old Dominion University, and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program for Adult Education at Regent University. She has been a nurse educator at three hospitals in the Tidewater area, and was an adjunct faculty member of the School of Nursing at Old Dominion University for over 10 years. In addition, she has worked as a reviewer, ancillary writer and author for Elsevier for over 20 years on various nursing publications and projects. She has lived in Virginia Beach for most of her life, after spending her early years traveling as part of a Navy family. She has been married to Jonathan since 1980, and enjoys life with her parents, daughter and son-in-law, and two grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy photographing birds in the rural areas of Pungo and the Eastern Shore. They are also active members of Tidewater Primitive Baptist Church.
