Rachel Copeland, Ed.D.

Bio

Professor Rachel Copeland is an assistant professor, full-time faculty member, and program director for the M.Ed. K-12 Special Education and M.Ed. Reading Specialist Programs, and program director for the Exceptional Education Executive Leadership and Special Education Doctoral Programs in the School of Education. She teaches online courses in reading and special education content and oversees the mentorship of interns as the assistant professor for the M.Ed. Special Education and Reading Specialist Licensure Program internships courses.

Copeland’s educational credentials include an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and an M.Ed. in K-12 Special Education General Curriculum with an Autism Certificate from Regent University and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Pre-K-3 (2005) from Malone University. She taught in an elementary school setting for several years, mentored special education and reading teachers for almost a decade, and has served as a full-time staff member in the School of Education for several years.

Copeland loves the Lord and is passionate and committed to impacting educators’ lives. She is dedicated to the university’s mission of educating Christian Leadership to Change the World.
