Amy Davies, Ph.D.

Bio

Dr. Amy Davies completed her Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Christian Education Leadership from Regent University. She also holds her M.A. in Spiritual Formation from Ashland Theological Seminary and BSS in Psychology & Communications from Ohio University.

Davies has a wide range of ministerial and Christian education experiences that span the last 15 years. She has home-educated her two children for several years, developed curriculum and implemented professional development for children’s and youth ministry at her local church, taught preschool, led a variety of Bible studies, home groups, and spiritual formation groups for youth and college students, and has served on the worship team, prayer team, and teaching team at church.

Davies has also supported local churches and families in starting and operating Christian homeschool co-ops and Christian schools. In 2021, she was tasked with starting the IMPACT mentoring program in the School of Education to equip and empower post-graduate students to thrive and flourish in their studies. In 2022, she became the Christian Education Leadership department chair and assistant professor in the School of Education at Regent University.

Davies understands the importance of positioning learners to experience encounters with the Holy Spirit in the teaching and learning process. She also seeks to faithfully equip students to represent the Kingdom of God in their educational contexts.

Born and raised in north central Ohio, Davies lives what she believes, and she loves pursuing excellence with her students in the name of Jesus and for the glory of God. She considers it an honor and a privilege to serve the students, staff, and administration at Regent University. She looks forward to many years of partnering with the Holy Spirit to educate, empower, and equip future generations of Christian Leaders to Change the World.
