Mike Sinclair, Ph.D.

Bio

Dr. Mike Sinclair joined Regent University in 2020. Prior to that, he worked as a television producer, writer, and director, creating a wide range of projects across various genres. Dr. Sinclair began his TV career in public television as a cultural and public affairs producer, then transitioned to developing, producing, and directing for cable television.

Over his 30-year career, he has created, sold, and produced more than 1,000 hours of television for broadcast, cable, and streaming outlets. He’s also created programs for a wide range of television networks, including Discovery, TLC, National Geographic Channel, MSNBC, HGTV, FYI, Military Channel, Animal Planet, Reelz, Public Broadcasting Service, American Heroes Channel, Investigation Discovery, Destination America, and OWN.

Dr. Sinclair’s research interests include C.S. Lewis studies, broadcasting history, media effects on culture and faith, media ecology, new communication technologies, and television’s evolving role in shaping culture.
