Jeff Gardner, Ph.D.
Bio
Dr. Jeff Gardner received his MA in Medieval History from the University of Kansas and holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Media from Regent University. His dissertation examined the use of social media applications by Middle Eastern Christian refugees escaping the war with ISIS.
For over a decade, he has worked in media, writing and taking photographs for various publications and organizations across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His work has been featured in numerous national and international publications and broadcasts.
When not pursuing his research, Dr. Gardner is most comfortable in deep green, wild spaces. Raised in the West between the Rockies and the Wasatch, he has backpacked many of the world’s great mountain ranges.
A native of Salt Lake City, Dr. Gardner now lives in Columbia, Missouri, with his wife Christine and their four children.
