Transfer Student Admissions

  • Direct equivalent courses from the Virginia Community College System (VCCS)
  • College-level work completed at other regionally accredited colleges and universities
  • Credit earned through approved entrance level examinations (i.e., AP/CLEP/DANTES)
  • Military credit (see Military Partners for more information)
  • Credits from non-regionally accredited institutions or other institutions of higher learning with whom Regent has an articulation agreement (credits will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
  • A score of 3 or higher on high school Advanced Placement exams
  • Experiential credit


Students who are admitted to Regent with a qualifying regionally accredited A.A., A.S., or A.A.&S degree will have general education requirements waived except general education courses specified by their major, or required as prerequisites for courses in their major.

2. Submit your unofficial transcripts.
Please submit your unofficial transcripts to our Admissions Office by emailing Upon conditional acceptance, Regent University’s Admissions Office will attempt to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution. Students can transfer a maximum of 90 credits toward their bachelor’s degree or 48 credits toward their associate degree.

3. Complete admissions questionnaire.
This brief questionnaire is required for acceptance to your degree program.

4. Government-Issued ID
To ensure academic integrity, Regent University requires a copy of a government-issued ID. Simply scan and upload a copy of your driver’s license, high school ID, passport, permanent resident card or official government ID card, using our secure and convenient online tool. If you prefer to take a picture of your government-issued ID and email it to our office, please email with the subject line “Government ID.”
