Transfer Student Admissions

Regent offers flexible transfer options for undergraduate programs to help you make a smooth transition. Regent University will work with transfer credits from:

  • Accredited colleges and universities
  • TRACS or ABHE-accredited colleges
  • Approved entrance-level examinations credits (i.e., CLEP/DANTES)
  • Military service
  • Institutions of higher learning where Regent has an articulation agreement
  • Non-regionally accredited institutions
  • A score of 3 or higher on high school Advanced Placement Exam
  • Experiential credit

Undergraduate Transfer Process
For students with 15 or more transferable college credits.

1. Fill out our online application.
$50 nonrefundable application fee applies.

2. Submit your unofficial transcripts.
We are able to examine and view your unofficial high school and previous college transcripts from U.S.-based schools, which indicate successful completion of a high school diploma or GED and any college credits attempted, in order to review you for an admissions decision. Please submit your unofficial transcripts to our Admissions Office by email to

Upon conditional acceptance to the program by review of unofficial transcripts, Regent University’s Admissions Office will attempt to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution, which indicate successful completion of a high school diploma and any college credits you have attempted. We will notify you if your previous institution will not release transcripts directly to us.

3. Deliver your SAT/ACT/CLT scores to Regent.
Applies if you have been out of high school for less than 5 years.

4. Personal Statement (part of the online application).

In the online application, you will be asked to respond to one of the following topics in 250 to 500 words.

  1. Describe something that God has shown you over the last year.
  2. Regent’s motto is Christian Leadership to Change the World. What does that mean to you?
  3. Explain what attracted you to Regent University and why you elected to apply.
