Transfer Guides: VA Community Colleges

Regent University has a generous transfer policy — students can transfer up to 90 credit hours. There is also a tuition grant of up to $2,000 for eligible transfer students from the Virginia Community College System (VCCS). For additional information about Regent’s transfer policy, view the current year’s online catalog.

Regent University and the VCCS, recognizing the need to facilitate the transfer of students from the community college to Regent, have provided the following information to help VCCS students experience a smooth transition to Regent.

The courses listed below are accepted for transfer as General Education credits into Regent’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS). These courses are directly from the Virginia State Transfer Policy, which was established in 1991 by SCHEV and the State Board of Community Colleges to ensure transfer of community colleges Associate of Arts and Associate of Science graduates into the State’s public four-year colleges and universities.
