The B.A. in Communication Studies, offered online or on campus in Virginia Beach, emphasizes and enhances the critical and creative thinking approaches to communication. You will examine listening, speaking and writing techniques from a variety of perspectives to help broaden your reach as an effective communicator. You’ll also learn how to present information and respond appropriately in arenas such as business, politics, government, entertainment, news and more. Presented from a Christian worldview, you’ll choose from eight specialized concentrations – each designed to support your area of interest.

  • Develop strong interpersonal communication skills that involve conflict management, relational connection, nonverbal behavior and creative supportive climates.
  • Explore how people process and understand stories and shape messaging to suit target audiences.
