Regent’s Certificate in Political Campaign Strategies & Management, offered fully online with some optional on-campus components, will equip you to influence the direction of American government at the local, state and federal levels. You’ll learn how to effectively manage political campaigns, connect with campaign centers, develop winning strategies, raise awareness through social media and more. Here’s your chance to mobilize your Christian leadership to make a difference in a politically charged world.

Upon completing this political campaign certificate, you will be able to:

  • Apply best practices for managing election campaigns and legislative initiatives.
  • Strategically communicate with constituents, advise candidates and navigate political culture.
  • Persuade citizens through conventional and social media and respond quickly and accurately as a principled influencer.

This interdisciplinary certificate may prepare you for a career as a campaign manager, poling analyst, congressional staffer, lobbyist or fundraiser at the state and federal levels.

Focuses upon the development of an overall campaign communication strategy by creating effective messages. Explores methods of message delivery, the impact of communications, the role of the communications director, and effective relationships with the press and media. Upon completion of the course the student will become well acquainted with campaign communication strategies and techniques. Cross-listed with COM 664.
Teaches students how to manage a campaign staff, identify and activate a base of supporters, plan rallies and events, conduct grassroots organizing, calculate votes needed, and generate funding for the campaign.

All new students are expected to check-in for the semester two weeks before the session start date. Students should apply, be accepted, enroll in their first courses, and confirm a plan to pay for their courses prior to this date.

The Certificate of Graduate Studies offers an excellent opportunity for those not requiring a master’s degree. This option is often used by those needing continuing education credits or for those who wish to complement their existing degree with additional training for career advancement. Upon completing the certificate, students have the option of applying to the master’s program, and if accepted, all courses taken toward the certificate transfer in.

2. Provide Your Unofficial College Transcripts

We require an official transcript indicating successful completion of a bachelor’s degree program. Regent has partnered with DocuSign to offer a secure, electronic way for your previous college transcripts to be delivered on your behalf once you have registered for your first semester.

If you have an unofficial copy of your college transcripts, please email those to apply@regent.edu using the subject line: RSG Certificate Application Pieces.

If you are an international student, or you earned college credit at non-US institutions, please submit your transcripts for a third-party course-by-course evaluation. Learn more and find recommended agencies.
