Letter to Prospective Undergraduate Parents

Dear Parent,

I’m writing to you today about your child’s college search. As a parent, I know the importance of finding a
college that not only fits your values, but also captures your child’s interest. As a dean, I’ve learned the most
important decision in this process is choosing a safe environment where your child will thrive in knowledge
and faith together.

No matter your criteria, deciding on where to attend college is a big decision and can feel a little
overwhelming. Life’s big events often are. Many times, important decisions require a leap of faith, but when
the right choice is made, I have found that peace of mind follows.

The college experience is meant to be life changing — to shape minds and open doors for a meaningful
career. At Regent University, we will help your child step into their future by equipping them with the
needed skills to reach their goals and live a life of significance.

Regent is one of the nation’s leading academic centers for Christian thought and action. We are a topranked,
accredited, affordable university committed to academic excellence, leadership training and spiritual
development.

What a privilege we have as Christians, educators and parents to help our children — and future
generations — build a sure foundation. And there’s never been a better time to help prepare men and
women to excel. As society shouts conflicting messages on values, morality and purpose, we are seeing a
multitude of young adults hungry for honesty, truth and direction.

Regent has prepared nearly 25,000 alumni to succeed in their careers and to make a positive difference
in the world. Our alumni include business executives, attorneys, healthcare specialists, educators, CEOs,
journalists, media personalities, authors, counselors, psychologists, political figures, missionaries and
spiritual leaders. Just imagine, in just four short years, your child can join our distinguished alumni!

We have a team of enrollment counselors available to answer your questions and help you navigate the entire
financial aid and scholarship process. Call 757.352.4960 to learn more.

Sincerely,

Robert Herron, Ph.D.
