Early College Program Admissions
EASY ADMISSIONS PROCESS
The Early College Program provides you the opportunity to study at Regent — one of the world’s premier Christian universities — and helps you start college with credits under your belt, giving you a strong advantage in your educational and professional career.
Early College classes taken at Regent may be included on your high school transcript as part of your high school curriculum. When applying to another university or college, you will also need to provide that school with an official transcript from Regent. Regionally accredited, our courses should transfer to other colleges easily as long as you earned a “C” or above in those classes.

- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Completion of sophomore year or homeschool equivalent
- “B” average in college prep curriculum
EARLY COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS
- Complete the Early College application. If you are currently a JROTC Student and interested in the Royals Leadership Challenge, please apply here.
- Obtain approval of a parent or guardian using the Early College Parent Verification Form.
- Provide an official copy of current high school or homeschool transcript.
The deadline for the completed application packet including all checklist items will be two weeks prior to the start of any session.

Once you’ve submitted your completed Early College application and your high school or homeschool transcript, your application will be processed, and you will receive an acceptance email from our Enrollment Management Office. A day or two later, you will also receive an introductory email from your academic advisor with helpful information. The whole process from the receipt of your completed application to acceptance should take no more than a week.
APPLICATION & ADMISSIONS RESOURCES
Current high school and homeschool students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply as an Early College, non-degree student:
- Successful completion of at least the sophomore year in high school or homeschool equivalent.
- At least 16 years of age.
- Maintained a “B” average in core high school or homeschool courses.
- Have parental approval using the Early College Parent Verification Form.
A copy of the high school or homeschool transcript must be provided and emailed to email@example.com with the subject line Early College Application Transcript.

It is recommended that all Early College students also complete the FERPA Waiver Form. By completing this form, the Early College student gives permission to Regent University to share information about tuition and grades to parents and high school or homeschool personnel.
- Tuition is
$155/credit hour$75/credit hour (through the Fall 2021 semester) for classes in the online or on campus format. Books are not included in the per credit hour cost.
- Financial aid is not available to non-degree students.
- All semester fees are waived for Early College students.
- Early College students are responsible for purchasing textbooks and any relevant course-specific fees.
- Early College students are limited to taking a maximum of 30 credit hours at Regent University. Such students are limited to courses listed on the recommended course list. Appeals for courses not on the course list or for an increase in the maximum credit hour limit should be directed to the Undergraduate Academic Advising Office.
- Acceptance as a non-degree student does not guarantee regular acceptance as a degree-seeking student. Nor does it guarantee availability of courses.
- A non-degree student is required to maintain a GPA of 2.0.
- Early College students come under the FERPA regulations for privacy. Therefore, college personnel are not permitted to share confidential academic information with parents or high school and homeschool personnel unless the student has granted permission for this action using the FERPA waiver form found on the Regent University website.
- Students are required to determine how courses taken at Regent University will transfer to other institutions. Regent is NOT responsible for determining applicability of transfer credit or translation of college credit to high school or homeschool credit. Special consideration should be given when taking courses in religious studies as these courses are particularly prone to having difficulty with transferring credit. Math 101 may also have some limitations on transferability.
- Students who plan to take math at Regent but have not completed Algebra II should NOT enroll in College Algebra unless they have excellent grades in Algebra I and Geometry. College Algebra is equivalent to taking AP Algebra II, NOT standard high school Algebra II. Students who wish to take Calculus I at Regent, should have completed pre-calculus with excellent grades or Algebra II with Trigonometry, again with excellent grades.
