Career Opportunities for those with a Biophysical Sciences Degree

Professional Programs:

This program is specifically designed to fully qualify our students to submit highly competitive applications to any Medical, Dental, Optometry or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technology) program in the country. Our current faculty also provides experienced support to assist our students in the professional school application process.

Additionally, students completing this program will have almost every prerequisite course required to submit highly competitive applications to any Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Nursing school in the country.

Graduate Schools:

Students completing this program will also be highly competitive for further graduate education at the Masters or Doctoral level in STEM fields such as Biology, Cell or Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science or Science Education.

Industry:

The skills set acquired through this major, which includes full laboratory exercises in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics, makes our students highly desirable for positions within organizations, schools and companies involved in Medical, Biological, Biochemical or Pharmaceutical Research or Product Support.

Teaching:

Upon completion of state and/or local educational licensure requirements, students with this degree would be technically qualified to teach sciences at the secondary level in almost any school district in the country.
