The Post-Master's Certificate in Advancing Leadership (CAL) is an online certificate of nine credit hours for teachers and administrators who wish to advance their knowledge in special education leadership. These post-master’s classes will train you to understand and assist with the special education needs in your school division.

  • Transfer your credit hours from all three courses (nine hours total) into the Ed.S. in Educational Leadership.
  • Learn the latest research and up-to-date regulations in special education.
  • Collaborate on a professional project focusing on supervision, curriculum, instruction, assessment, law and finance.

This certificate may help advance your career in teaching and administration by equipping you as an expert in your field.

All new students are expected to check-in for the semester 2 weeks prior to the session start date. Students should apply, be accepted, enroll in their first courses, and confirm a plan to pay for their courses prior to this date.

Application Process - Post-Master's Certificate in Advancing Leadership

  1. Submit your online application. Please apply for Graduate level, then choose Online, Desired Program: Post-Master's Certificate in Advamcing Leadership. Indicate the term you want to begin the course and Part-time.

  2. Pay your $25 application fee during the application process.

  3. Submit your unofficial master’s degree transcript to transcripts@regent.edu using the subject line: EDU Certificate Application Pieces. Our Registrar’s Office will be requesting your official transcript on your behalf.

  4. Complete your admissions questionnaire. In lieu of the previously required writing sample, please complete a brief admissions questionnaire based on your professional goals and interests. This should only take a few minutes to complete but please answer the questions completely and thoughtfully. This gives us a better opportunity to get to know you and align your objects with our programs. Once completed, it will be sent directly to an enrollment counselor who will be in touch with you right away to help complete the rest of your application.
