Orientation Leader Responsibilities and Qualifications

Characteristics
Great orientation leaders will:
- Love the Lord Jesus Christ
- Love Regent University’s mission, academic experience, spiritual journey, and campus life
- Dedicate themselves to serving and encouraging students, their teammates, and others
- Have integrity, authenticity, a positive attitude, and leadership potential
Responsibilities
Orientation leaders must:
- Actively participate in all orientation training, preparation, and event-related activities.
- Become an expert in campus life, services, and resources.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, encouraging the same in others.
- Follow the directions of the Orientation Captain(s) and Orientation Professional Staff.
Qualifications
Orientation leaders must:
- Have earned a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA after 12 credit hours in a degree program at Regent at the time of application and be in good financial and disciplinary standing with the University.
- Submit one letter of recommendation (letters accepted from former or current employers, pastors, Regent’s faculty, staff, Life Group Leaders, or Resident Assistants); not required for returning OLs.
- Provide documentation of your ability to work in the United States (click here for acceptable documentation).
- Be (or have been) actively involved in other student leadership roles, with student organizations, or with other Regent entities.
