Future Students Scholarships & Grants

Important scholarship information!

  • Regent University based scholarships, discounts and awards can not be combined. If eligible for more than one award, Regent will award the highest scholarship amount. 
  • Application for Regent University based scholarships, discounts and awards must be received no later than two weeks prior to the start of a term.
  • Applications for Regent University based scholarships, discounts and awards will only be accepted from prospective students who have completed an application for admissions and paid the non-refundable $50 application fee.
  • Regent School of Undergraduate Studies reserves the right to change or alter any scholarship requirements, deadlines or award amounts.
  • All Regent University based scholarships, discounts, and awards are issued on a first come-first served basis and are based upon funds available.

Regent Academic Merit Scholarships (Apply Online)

In order to recognize the outstanding academic achievement of high school students, Regent has established several merit based scholarships that are awarded to high school graduates with demonstrated academic and scholarly achievement.

Award Range: 20% to 40% off of tuition
Minimum Requirements: Cumulative High School GPA of 3.65 on a 4 point scale
SAT score of 10501 or ACT score of 22
Maintenance Requirements:
  • Maintain a 3.5 GPA once enrolled at Regent University
  • Continuous Fall and Spring term enrollment

Merit based scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded on a first-come first- served basis.

Phi Theta Kappa Honors Scholarship (Apply Online)

Regent awards members of Phi Theta Kappa a 25% tuition discount applied throughout the length of a student's program. To be considered for this award, you must:
  • Have supporting documentation submitted to Regent
  • Maintain a 3.55 GPA once enrolled

Virginia Community College Grant (Apply Online)

Graduates of any Virginia community college are eligible to receive $75 off tuition per credit hour. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Have all supporting academic credentials submitted to Regent
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA once enrolled

Graduates of any Virginia community college are eligible to receive a reduced tuition rate of $345.00 per credit hour, which is a $75.00 reduction of our current tuition rate.

Military (Apply Online)

Regent offers all Active-duty military, reservists, and National Guard personnel a discounted tuition rate of $250 per credit hour. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be active duty military, reservist, Guardsmen
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA once enrolled
  • Apply online and provide documentation of military status or continued employment as a public servant each academic year.

Public Service Award (Apply Online)

Regent offers all uniformed police, fire, and emergency services personnel a 25% tuition discount applied throughout the length of a student's program. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Be a uniformed police, fire or emergency services personnel
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA once enrolled
  • Apply online and provide documentation of military status or continued employment as a public servant each academic year.

Military and Public Service Spouse and Dependent Award (Apply Online)

Regent offers a 15% tuition award to spouses and dependent children of active military, reservists, National Guard and those in public service positions. This award is also available to retired active duty, reservist or Guardsmen. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Provide proof of marital or dependent status in relation to a public servant or provide documentation of retired military service
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA once enrolled
  • Apply online and provide documentation of the parent or spouse's continued military/public service employment throughout student's enrollment
Public servants included:
  • Active-duty military, reservist, Guardsman OR
  • Uniformed police, fire, or emergency services personnel

The Office of the Registrar provides information about benefits for Veterans or those with questions about the TA or GI bill.

Church Match Grant (Apply Online)

Regent University will match, dollar-for-dollar, a donation from a recognized church or ministry organization toward a student's tuition, up to $500 per semester. There is no minimum amount of donation. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Enroll for at least 6 credit hours in the semester of donation    (Note: only 3 semester hours are required for the summer.)
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA

Project Bridges Award (Apply Online)

Regent University offers members of Project Bridges a 25% tuition award. To be considered for this award, you must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 (as calculated by Regent University) from all institutions attended
  • Provide documentation of membership
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA

Regent University Investment Grant (Apply Online)

Students with demonstrated financial need are eligible to apply for the Regent University Investment Grant. A limited number of grants are available, based on available funds, and range from 10% to 40% of tuition based on data from the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Recipients are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 while enrolled at Regent to remain eligible for the grant.
