Our Center for Teaching & Learning gives faculty robust opportunities for professional development and custom training. This team also provides assistance and tools for teaching successfully with technology. Regent offers tuition remission to benefited employees, spouses and dependents. Regent also offers an Educational Assistance Program and a Tuition Exchange Program through the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).

Work

Regent consistently ranks among the top higher education institutions for job satisfaction, as evidenced by Great Colleges to Work For. We emphasize the entrepreneurial spirit, and we seek employees who value collaboration, contribute inventive possibilities and embrace change. Our diversity is another of our greatest strengths, with students, faculty and staff coming from many cultural and denominational backgrounds. We ranked #3 for safety according to NICHE 2016 and place great emphasis on campus security.

At Regent, you’ll find a place to grow your faith alongside your career. Weekly university chapel, as well as regular visits from renowned speakers, provides instruction and encouragement. Ultimately, Regent employees work as servant leaders whose primary mission is to increase our global impact and help our students pursue their calling to be Christian leaders.

Qualified candidates are screened and interviewed by the supervisor within the hiring department and Human Resources. Depending on the pool of applicants and each school or department’s hiring timeline, it may take a week, a month or longer for selected candidates to be contacted. As an ever-changing and growing institution, new opportunities become available regularly. Please check the Job Opportunities web page often. We encourage you to apply for positions in which the job qualifications and your skills and goals best align.

Review the following steps about Regent University’s hiring process. (expand/collapse each of these)

Regent University only accepts applications and resumes for open positions posted on our Job Opportunities web page.

The application may be submitted online or by mailing or faxing a hardcopy. All contact information is located on the Job Opportunities webpage. A cover letter and/or resume or curriculum vitae may also be submitted and are highly recommended to further highlight knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Applications are tracked by the Human Resources database and then forwarded to the hiring manager for his or her review. (For student positions, applications and resumes may be given directly to the point of contact listed in the student job posting.)

It is up to the manager’s discretion to contact any applicants for further information or to schedule an interview. Due to the large volume of applications received, applicants not selected for an interview may not be contacted.

For the final candidates, at least two of the applicants’ references will be contacted by the hiring manager.

Human Resources will reach out to a candidate of any regular staff position to set up a phone interview appointment.

A background check will be requested prior to an offer of employment. The potential candidate will be notified via email to provide necessary background check information and authorization. Human Resources will process the background check and notify the hiring manager upon completion.

Once all employment considerations have been approved by Human Resources and the department head, an offer of employment may be extended to the selected candidate.

The new employee will be given information regarding when to start, where and when to arrive, and what documents to bring to verify eligibility to work in the United States.

The application may take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. The more information you provide, the easier it will be to effectively evaluate your skills, abilities, and qualifications. It may be advisable to have any applicable resources accessible while completing the application (i.e., employment history, related knowledge, skills and abilities, Christian testimony, reference information, etc.).

You must submit an application for each position for which you wish to apply.

We do not accept unsolicited resumes or applications. You must submit an application for a specific position listed on our career site. Once you upload your resume it will be stored for future submissions. You may make edits as needed on the career site if any of your information changes.

You can upload your resume to the Career Site. The resume you upload will pre-fill information on the application.

You must submit a separate application for each position for which you wish to apply.

Your application is automatically saved on the career site when you log out. You may log back in to complete the application at your convenience.

The process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. This may be dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to: the size and quality of the applicant pool, urgency to fill an open position, related budget planning, etc.

Log into the Career Site to view status of current application.

New positions are posted as soon as a new job opening is available and approved. Updates may occur on a daily or weekly basis. Continue to check the Career Site. If there are specific positions you are interested in applying to, job alerts may be set up through the career site.

Unless otherwise noted within the job description listed, jobs are kept open until filled.

See the List of Acceptable Documents that you may bring to complete the Form I-9 in order to determine eligibility for employment in the United States.
