School of Psychology & Counseling Commissioning Ceremony 2021

Commissioning Ceremony Details

Date & Time: Friday, May 7, 2021, 11:30 a.m.

Congratulations! We are excited that you have joined us for the virtual Commissioning Ceremony. To commission someone is “to entrust, or to give authority” or “to appoint or assign to a task or function.” At graduation you leave from Regent with training and preparation, to go out into the world and fulfill the call God has on your life (Isaiah 61:1-3). Within the context of our graduation, commissioning is a sacred and holy time of consecration, reflection and prayer.

The virtual service that will be streamed on this page will prayerfully commission you to serve the world as a Christian leader in your chosen field. The schedule includes:

  • A welcome
  • An address from the dean
  • Academic award recipients
  • Congratulatory remarks from our Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño
  • A commissioning address from our Founder and Chancellor, Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson
  • Closing and prayer
