At Regent, spiritual growth is woven into the rhythm of campus life. Through worship, discipleship, and service, students grow in faith alongside a Christ-centered community of peers, faculty, and staff.

Chapel

Students, faculty, and staff meet in the Shaw Chapel for a time of fellowship, worship, and God’s Word at noon every Wednesday. Chapel features multi-denominational worship for students and faculty, allowing many Christian faith traditions to be represented through creeds, music, and guest speakers. University Chapels can be watched live!

Unchapel

The student body meets for UnChapel in the Shaw Chapel, creating a vibrant community of faith, hope, and love for all Regent students — both undergraduate and graduate. UnChapel is a unifying worship experience with modern worship music, relevant teaching, and an opportunity for prayer ministry at the end of each service. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a vibrant Christian college experience!

Connect Groups

Life is better together! If accountability, discipleship, and Christian leadership are important to you, Connect Groups will encourage your spiritual vitality. Our leaders undergo extensive training and receive ongoing support through Campus Ministries. Connect Groups are available to residential and commuter students. Service Outreach

At Regent, students, professors, and staff come together to form a spiritual family. This family comprises a diverse community of people from many denominations, cultures, backgrounds, and callings, all with an intentional focus on our shared Christ-centered values. Regent provides numerous opportunities for spiritual growth and well-being.

Life Coaching

Life Coaching is an opportunity for students to “discover out loud” what God has already placed within them. Regent’s certified coaches help them to explore the change God has initiated, identify and overcome challenges, and put a plan into action. We want our students to be everything God created them to be.

Counseling

Regent Counseling Services provides free professional counseling to Regent students at the Virginia Beach campus. Services include individual counseling, group counseling, pre-marital/marriage counseling, assessments, and psychoeducational workshops.

Regent Royals student-athletes compete with excellence and Christ-like character across 15 NCAA Division III programs, embodying Regent Athletics’ “Winning with Character” approach on and off the field.

Campus Connection Fair

Held during the second week of the academic year, the Campus Connection Fair brings together Regent’s student organizations, campus chapters, and university departments in the Student Center – Mall Area. It’s the perfect opportunity for students to explore campus involvement, connect with student leaders, discover available resources, and find new ways to get plugged into the Regent community year-round.

One of Regent’s most beloved traditions, hosted by the Student Activities Board (SAB). This dance typically takes place in Robertson Hall on the Saturday following the end of the fall semester. A live swing band opens the evening with festive swing and ballroom dancing, then a DJ takes the stage with current hits. Guests can enjoy magical décor, light refreshments, and photo opportunities throughout the night. This event is open to all Regent students.

Family Weekend

Family Weekend welcomes the families of Regent students to campus for a weekend of fellowship, shared experiences, and community. Families are invited to join in a variety of activities and get a firsthand look at life at Regent alongside their students. Featured events include Royals Fest, hosted by Regent’s intramural flag football program, and the semester’s first Outpouring worship gathering. Family Weekend gives families a meaningful way to connect with the Regent community while supporting their students.

First Friday

Held outdoors on the first Friday of the academic year, First Friday brings the whole campus together to kick off the semester with food, live music, games, and glow-in-the-dark fun. It’s one of the first chances for new and returning students to connect and start the year off on the right foot. This event is open to all Regent students.

Harvest Fest

Typically held in mid-October, the Student Activities Board (SAB) hosts Harvest Fest outside, next to Dede Robertson Student Center. Harvest Fest features fall-inspired fun for everyone, including pumpkin decorating, face painting, live music, and light festive refreshments. This event is open to all Regent students.

Regent Night of Worship

The Outpouring

Not a concert — an encounter. Hosted by Student Life throughout the academic year, The Outpouring creates space for the Regent community to seek the Lord together through authentic, Spirit-led worship. With no formal agenda and no featured speaker, each gathering invites prayer, worship, and spiritual renewal. The Outpouring is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the public.

A full-on production featuring Regent’s most talented students. Hosted on the Main Stage of the Dede Robertson Theatre, our campus gathers to watch fabulous hosts showcase performers of all kinds. Dancers, singers, actors, and even yo-yo trick artists have dazzled the stage! It’s an upbeat, lively event where students are treated like they’re in a Broadway show. The event is open to all Regent students. (Performers may invite non-Regent audience members with pre-approval by SAB.)

Regent University has contracted with BNC Services (formerly MBS Direct) to provide an online bookstore. BNC Services allows you the opportunity to see all of your required and recommended books according to your course registration. You can also search for textbook information for all classes as you make registration decisions. Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Order My Books?

Log in to the MyRegent portal and select the student tab; under My Courses, you will find the link to “Order Books Online”. For guests and prospective students who do not have access to MyRegent portal, you can access the BNC Services online bookstore.

Be sure to order your course books early! It can take 1-2 weeks for shipments to arrive.

How Do I Use Financial Aid?

If you have an anticipated financial aid refund, you will receive an email from Regent letting you know how much of your anticipated refund you can use as a credit/voucher in the online store. You will also receive an email from the online bookstore containing a voucher code that you must have in order to access the funds for your online purchase. Please note that financial aid credits will not be available more than 28 days in advance of a semester or session. The schedule of earliest dates of availability is on the financial aid website. Actual dates of availability depend on the particular session and the timing of a student’s financial aid application being finalized.

Can I Still Use Military Aid (Vocational Rehabilitation, Virginia Army National Guard, Undergraduate Military Book Credit) To Purchase My Books?

How Do I Get Customer Support Assistance?

My Employer Pays For My Textbooks. (Or, A Disability Agency Pays For My Textbooks.) How Can I Make Arrangements For A Third Party To Be Billed For My Order?

Contact BNC Services (formerly MBS Direct) third-party billing at 1.800.325.3252 and request a price quote. Give this to your employer and they can place a credit card order through www.regent.edu/regentbookstore, or submit the order with a check by mail to BNC Services, 2805 Falling Leaf Lane, Columbia, MO 65201.

Regent’s Meal Plan program allows students to use allotted “Meal Swipes” at The Ordinary Cafe and “Royal Dollars” towards three on-campus services: The Ordinary Cafe, 77 Coffeehouse, and the Regent Gift Shop.

The Regent Gift Shop is available for all your Regent swag, whether you study online or on campus. The gift shop is located on the first floor of the Dede Robertson Student Center. All students can subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud at a discounted rate using your Regent credentials. You can also sign up to use Microsoft Editor, Zoom, and other platforms that can help make your college experience a success.

L — Learning
The co-curricular experience is a classroom without walls.
Departments like Residence Life, Student Conduct, Disability Services, and Counseling Services create environments where growth is intentional and transformation is the goal.

Student Engagement, Athletics, Dining Services, and the CSH build the infrastructure of belonging from a student’s first day through graduation.

Honor Code

All students at RU are expected to adhere to the University’s alcohol and drug policies found within the University’s Standard of Personal Conduct in the Student Handbook. 

These policies are as follows:

5.2.2. Alcohol, Drugs, Tobacco and other Smoking or Smokeless Products:

5.2.2.1. The Bible calls us to a sober mind and sound judgment. The University requires that members of the Regent community—faculty, staff and students—refrain from the illegal use of drugs and the abuse of addictive substances controlled by law. Consistent with this policy, the use, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia is prohibited. The University has zero tolerance for the illegal use of drugs and the abuse of addictive substances controlled by law. Students with a valid prescription for controlled medications are permitted to possess and use those medications on campus. The misuse, sale, or distribution of prescription medications is prohibited.
