Bio

Dr. Kreassig has been a faculty member of the College of Arts & Science since 2013 and assumed the role of School of Education dean in July 2018. Over his 27 years of instructional and school leadership experience, he has served as a teacher, coach, school principal, and university department chair. He provides leadership and expertise for program faculty in classroom Christian leadership, best instructional practices, and in identifying and developing program assessments focused on continuous improvement.

He has demonstrated expertise in accreditation leadership, knowledge, and data decision making, recently taking the School of Education and College of Arts & Sciences teacher licensure and educational leadership programs through the self-study process and achieving a unanimous vote for continuing national accreditation. He's involved all stakeholders in the process to ensure high-quality programs and program completer effectiveness in the field.

He is a skilled teacher and leader who is able to positively influence faculty in building a collaborative culture of evidence. Kreassig possesses expertise in building and supporting inclusive communities and knows that learning occurs best in school communities that value diversity, encourage discussion, and fosters a sense of belonging among members.
