Regent’s School of Business & Leadership to Host 2026 Research Roundtables

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Aug. 7, 2026) — On Nov. 12-13, Regent University’s School of Business & Leadership (SBL) will hold its 23rd Annual Research Roundtables, a live virtual event exploring the intricate relationship between Christian business principles, leadership practices, entrepreneurship, innovation, and human flourishing. Centering on the theme “Building Resilience and Innovation Through Christ-Centered Business and Leadership Practices,” the event will reflect the SBL’s commitment to the university’s mission of fostering Christian leadership.

The annual Research Roundtables serve as a hub for students, scholars, and business professionals to learn from seasoned leaders shaping faith-integrated practice. The 2026 event will feature both pre-recorded and live sessions, giving scholars and practitioners the opportunity to either present their works or join for meaningful conversation and networking. Extended access before and after the event allows participants to review pre-conference presentations, engage in live keynote and roundtable discussions, and continue networking beyond the two-day event.

This year’s attendees will hear from keynote speaker Rebecca Calder, Ph.D., a retired U.S. Navy Commander, former F/A-18 Hornet pilot, and internationally recognized leadership expert. In 2004, Calder made history as the first female pilot to graduate from the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and went on to earn both a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. Today, she translates lessons from high-stakes military leadership into practical tools for today’s business challenges as the founder of Rebecca Calder Consulting.

Participants are invited to submit abstract proposals before Aug. 18 for any of the eight roundtable tracks, each led by Research Roundtable Chairs who will also select conference papers for inclusion in the 2026 proceedings. The 2026 Research Roundtable Tracks are as follows:

“For 23 years, the Research Roundtables have created a meaningful forum where scholars and practitioners can engage today’s most consequential business and leadership challenges through a distinctly Christian lens,” said Doris Gomez, Ph.D., Dean of Regent University’s School of Business & Leadership. “By bringing rigorous scholarship, practical experience, and biblical wisdom into conversation, we seek to equip leaders to navigate change with resilience, pursue innovation with integrity, and cultivate organizations in which people and communities can flourish.”

The Roundtables also foster meaningful professional relationships and collaborations that extend well beyond the event. “Professionals, scholars, and students will find valuable opportunities to learn, contribute, and expand their networks, whether presenting research or participating in the conversations,” Gomez said. “We warmly invite all who share an interest in Christ-centered business and leadership to register and join this important global community.”

Registration is now open for the 2026 Research Roundtables. Following the Aug. 18 abstract submission deadline, acceptance notifications will be sent by Aug. 28.
