Welcome to our newest Regent Royals! Before you begin your first semester, we have prepared New Student Orientation, to build your confidence, help you learn some important ins and outs of college life, and have some fun together! You will connect with student leaders, learn how to navigate classes, and get a good feel for your new campus life. New Student Orientation is a mandatory event for all first-time freshmen and transfer students ages 23 and younger.

New Student Orientation will be Wednesday, August 18, 2025 – Friday, August 22, 2025. Move In information will be emailed directly from Res Life. The New Student Orientation schedule is subject to change and will be finalized by July 2025.

  • 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Move In Day 1
  • 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Walk-in Disability Services appointments in the Student Center
  • 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Walk-in Advising appointments in the Divinity Building
  • 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Study Abroad Session (optional) in Shaw Chapel
  • 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Parents in Prayer: Preparing for the Sendoff in the Shaw Chapel
  • 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Ice Cream Social located in the Mall Area by the Fountain

Residential Students: Please arrive at your assigned residence halls according to your move-in time, which will be designated. Check-in for housing and orientation will be a single process.

Commuting Students: Please arrive at the Dede Robertson Student Center Lobby on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Students will be provided lunch on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 – Friday, August 22, 2025. Please see the New Student Orientation schedule for mealtimes.
