ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR’S

Admissions Requirements for Master’s/Doctoral

General Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required of all master’s applicants.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited institution is required of all doctoral applicants.

Program-Specific Requirements

Admissions requirements vary by program. You may view the requirements for your program of interest by clicking on the appropriate link below. We encourage you to review them and then contact our Admissions Office at 888.777.7729 or comadmissions@regent.edu with any questions you may have.

Note: Army active duty, reserve and National Guard members may find detailed information on the application process through GoArmyEd on our GoArmyEd Admissions Guide.

International Applicants

In addition to the program-specific requirements listed above, as an international applicant, you will need to submit supplementary admissions requirements. These requirements will change depending on several factors such as your citizenship or visa status. For more information, please visit our International Students Admissions page.

Transfer Credit Policy

Students admitted into the doctoral or master’s degree programs in the School of Communication & the Arts may request that graduate-level coursework completed at another accredited college or university be applied toward their degree at Regent. Read our transfer policy.

Joint Degrees

The Joint Degree program at Regent offers students an opportunity to subsequently earn two master’s degrees from different Regent areas of study, for example a master’s in communication or theatre alongside a master’s in business, divinity, counseling, government or education. This may reduce the overall number of credit hours required to earn those degrees.

Financial Aid

Students are encouraged to be both practical and creative when planning out how they will fund their studies. There are many forms of financial aid available ranging from third-party scholarships, low-interest federal and private loans, university scholarships, grants, employer reimbursements, and others. Make sure to do an exhaustive search to discover which of these, or combination of these, will help you to determine how to pay for graduate school and arrive at your goal. Applicants are considered for available scholarships during the admissions process. No additional application is necessary.
