New Director of Church Relations Comes on Board

Dave Kleffman '98 (Education)
Regent University's new director of church relations, Dave Kleffman, is no stranger to campus. A 1998 graduate of the School of Education, Kleffman's impressions of the university were shaped long before he came on staff.
"I really think Regent is the best place in the whole world to educate and train Christian leaders," he said. "The church is in desperate need of individuals who can rise up and impact the world for Christ, and I really think Regent is a great place to do that."
As the director of church relations, Kleffman will oversee university efforts to cultivate relationships with churches and church leaders, advancing the Christian distinctiveness of the university, and serving as the university's primary ambassador to churches in Hampton Roads, across the United States and around the world.
"For me, it's all about relationships," Kleffman explained. "I'm excited about encouraging pastors with the opportunity of involving Regent experts in training and workshops."
Kleffman has been active in church leadership and ministry for most of his life, including a stint as a youth pastor. He is transitioning to Regent after 12 years as the director of admissions at Malone University in Canton, Ohio.
Kleffman and his wife have five children ages 21 months to 11 years old.
The Office of Church Relations offers resources for pastors and church leaders such as guest speakers, workshops, performances, access to Regent event information and more. It also offers opportunities to learn from and connect with Regent's outstanding professors and programs in areas such as leadership, counseling and finance.
