Being Human: Reason and Relation between Autonomy and Imago Dei

Tuesday, September 5, 2017
5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

This presentation by Andy Thrasher, past President of Ratio Christi at Regent University apologetics chapter, hopes to articulate modern, postmodern, and Christian conceptions of being human through the lenses of reason and relationality. Questions posed are the implications of the modern elevation of reason and how Christians have thought of the basic element of human nature: reason or relationship? Finally, implications of a trinitarian conception of the imago dei for the ekklesia will be offered as pathways for engagement with a postmodern west.

Please join us for a time of discussion after the presentation.
