The Bachelor of Science in Biophysical Sciences, offered on campus, is a groundbreaking program that integrates science, ethics and faith. You will receive broad-based training to prepare you for work in a number of in-demand areas, such as genetics and medical research, neuroscience, bioinformatics, teaching and more. You may also choose to pursue graduate education in fields such as medicine, dentistry or pharmacy. Whether you work in government, private research institutes, the academcy, or the health care industry, you will be a leader prepared to make informed decisions based on an important bled of challenging academic preparation and Christian principles.

  • Gain a well-rounded education in areas including biology, mathematics, chemistry, bioethics, scientific thought, theology and cosmology.
  • Learn foundational scientific theories; techniques of chemical experimentation; and best practices for analyzing, hypothesizing and recording data.
  • Explore ethics, origins and historical philosophies from a Christian perspective, in light of modern scientific research and trends.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that from 2012 to 2022, jobs in healthcare and social assistance will grow by an average of 2.6 percent per year, faster than any other sector. As a result, healthcare is projected to account for a full third of total growth in employment in the U.S. through 2022.
