Prepare to Lead Through Regent’s M.Div. – Christian Discipleship Degree Program

Are you ready to help others develop a closer relationship with Christ? Regent’s Master of Divinity with a concentration in Christian Discipleship will provide you with the biblical, theological and practical understanding of how people grow in faith. You will learn effective models and principles in discipleship for a range of ministry settings. Through this specialized degree, you’ll also prepare for full-time ministry, ordination, or doctoral studies. This master’s divinity degree is available fully online or can be taken partially online and partially on campus in Virginia Beach.

Biblical principles for building reproducing disciples based upon the Great Commission, including discipleship strategies for a range of settings.

Biblical principles concerning the development and exercise of Christian leadership in ministry settings. Emphasis on mobilizing people for Spirit-led service in the local church.

An integrated perspective of the pastoral functions, practices and offices in the local church, with special applied emphasis on the sacraments, ordinances, funerals and weddings. Critical issues in pastoral leadership are examined with an emphasis on avoiding pastoral pitfalls and fulfilling one’s calling with integrity.

Specialized discipleship aimed at growing and maturing children from birth to 12 years old. Learn how to design customized discipleship curriculum that addresses the unique needs to children and their age-specific spiritual growth.

All new students are expected to check-in for the semester two weeks before the session start date. Students should apply, be accepted, enroll in their first courses, and confirm a plan to pay for their courses prior to this date.

  • After you submit your application, you will receive a link to complete the required admissions questionnaire.

Step 3: Submit Your Unofficial College Transcripts

  • Email your unofficial college transcripts to apply@regent.edu using the subject line: Unofficial Transcripts.
  • Upon conditional acceptance, Regent University will attempt to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution.
  • International transcripts must be evaluated by an NACES-approved company.

Step 4: Submit Your Government-Issued ID

  • Email a photo of your government-issued ID to apply@regent.edu using the subject line: Government ID.
  • Please note that all items submitted as part of the application process become the property of Regent University and cannot be returned.
