Virginia Governors Headline Regent University’s Executive Leadership Series Event This Fall

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Aug. 18, 2026) — On Monday, Sept. 14, Regent University is pleased to launch the 2026-2027 season of its Executive Leadership Series (ELS), which brings together the region’s top minds for transformative leadership development and networking. The season will open with a noon luncheon at the Founders Inn and Spa featuring a panel discussion: “Virginia Governors Discuss America at 250: Lessons of the Founders.”

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, Regent will welcome four former governors of Virginia, who will engage in a timely discussion on the leadership of the nation’s founders and the enduring importance of the U.S. Constitution. The panelists are as follows:

  • Gov. Doug Wilder (1990-1994)
  • Gov. George Allen (1994-1998)
  • Gov. Bob McDonnell (2010-2014)
  • Gov. Ralph Northam (2018-2022)

Returning to the ELS forum as Panel Moderator will be Judge Robert “Rob” MacDonald of the Chesapeake Circuit Court, 1st Judicial Circuit of Virginia, who will facilitate a conversation that draws on more than three decades of experience from the Commonwealth’s chief executives. Attendees will gain unique insights into the principles that guided our nation’s founders and how those same principles apply to leadership today.

Individual tickets and table sponsorships are available now. Sponsorship packages offer businesses the opportunity to connect with influential leaders across Hampton Roads while supporting a valued community resource.
