Regent University Offers Scholarships for Social Distancing

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (March 18, 2020) – To encourage social distancing, and to help ease financial struggles related to COVID-19, Regent University is offering all new students pursuing their online bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree a $250 scholarship now through June 11, 2021.

Social distancing can prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to the Center for Disease Control. Regent University is offering free scholarships to encourage social distancing, and to honor social distancing guidelines announced by The White House and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

“This scholarship reflects our steadfast commitment to the safety and well-being of our community, our nation, and our world,” said Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riano, executive vice president for Academic Affairs. “With closed campuses and furloughed jobs, we are creating opportunities for students to invest in their futures.”

We recognize the challenges posed by COVID-19, and the many changes impacting daily activities. To help ease the financial struggle this could create, Regent University is offering a free Social Distancing ScholarshipTM to all new students.

There are deadlines and requirements to enroll and remain eligible for the Regent SuccessPath Social Distancing ScholarshipTM program.
