Regent University Names Dr. Chauncey Crandall As Keynote Speaker For Commencement Ceremony

Nationally renowned cardiologist, author and speaker, Dr. Chauncey Crandall. Nationally renowned cardiologist, author and speaker, Dr. Chauncey Crandall will serve as keynote speaker at the Regent University commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12. The ceremony will be held at the University Plaza and is expected to confer nearly 2,000 undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Dr. Crandall practices interventional, vascular and transplant cardiology at Mount Sinai Heart New York, where he is assistant professor of medicine. He also serves as the director of preventive medicine and complex cardiology at the Mount Sinai Heart New York location in Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Crandall received his post-doctoral training in Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine where he also completed three years of research in the Cardiovascular Surgery Division. Dr. Crandall completed his Cardiology Fellowship training at Beth Israel Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City and also completed advanced Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training at the Medical College of Virginia.

Dr. Crandall has authored several books on faith, medicine and heart disease, including The Simple Heart Cure: The 90 Day Program to Stop and Reverse Heart Disease, Touching Heaven: A Cardiologist’s Encounters with Death and Living Proof of an Afterlife, and Raising the Dead: A Doctor Encounters the Miraculous.

Dr. Crandall is a member of the Board of Trustees at Regent, and also chairman of the non-profit Chadwick Foundation. He devotes extensive time to missionary based medicine, evangelism and education in the Caribbean, Africa, South America, Europe, and Haiti.
