Regent University Launches the RAVE Mobile App to Achieve an Even Higher Level of Campus Safety
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (August 7, 2023) – Regent University is increasing its already impressive level of campus security with the RAVE mobile safety app. Regent decided to replace the previously used CampusShield technology with RAVE because of its proven ability to boost preparedness, streamline response, and drive recovery.

Regent University has already been crowned as the safest college in Virginia, as well as the 13th safest in the country by YourLocalSecurity.com – using official data collected from the U.S. Department of Education’s Campus Safety and Security and the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report. Still, campus safety remains an ongoing priority.
The RAVE app will be branded as Regent Safe while in use on the campus. The app will enable Regent emergency personnel to provide instant communication to the cell phones and email addresses of campus community members. Students will receive instructions on how to register their devices to receive the updates upon arrival on the campus.
RAVE or Regent Safe is set to go live by August 14, 2023, at the start of Regent’s Fall Orientation week.
