Regent Law Achieves Highest U.S. News Ranking in School History

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Apr. 9, 2024) – Regent University School of Law earned its highest ranking in school history in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Law Schools Ranking. Today’s newly published list ranks Regent as 108th in the nation—moving up 17 spots from last year. Regent Law has risen 39 places in the past three years—the third most of any law school in the nation.

“Regent Law has incredible momentum. We’ve risen farther and faster than almost anyone thought possible.  Our school and students are thriving like never before,” said Brad Lingo, dean of Regent University School of Law. “At Regent Law, we prioritize our mission over rankings. But it’s still rewarding to see U.S. News recognize our success.  And it’s even better to know that we’re doing it while remaining true to our distinctly Christian approach to legal education.”

The 2024-25 Best Law Schools Rankings measured 196 law schools accredited and fully approved by the American Bar Association. U.S. News & World Report based 75% of the rankings on objective measurements, including employment outcomes, bar passage rates, admissions selectivity, and student-faculty ratio. The remaining 25% of the ranking was based on the votes of law school administrators, faculty, lawyers, and judges.

Regent Law’s leap in the U.S. News rankings is part of a broader renaissance at Regent Law. Recent rankings and accolades include:
