Regent University Celebrates its 18th Year as a Great College to Work For®

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 18, 2026) — For the 18th year, Regent University is being recognized as a Great College to Work For®, receiving top-tier Honor Roll status in nine of the 10 recognition categories for 2026.

The results, published in The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captures employment data and workplace policies, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff — with employee feedback being the primary factor. Of 171 colleges and universities, 76 achieved the Great College to Work For®recognition for specific best practices and policies, and only 42, including Regent, were named to the Great Colleges Honor Roll for being highlighted most across recognition categories.

2026 marked the seventh year that Regent has earned the Honor Roll distinction, demonstrating continued dedication to its faculty and staff by winning honors in the following nine categories:

  • Job Satisfaction & Support
  • Mission & Pride
  • Faculty & Staff Well-being
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness
  • Shared Governance
  • Professional Development
  • Confidence in Senior Leadership
  • Faculty Experience

“I’m grateful for the consistent recognition as a Great College to Work For® with Honor Roll status,” said Bonnie Welch, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP, Vice President for Human Resources at Regent University. “It shows that a workplace shaped by faith is a workplace where people flourish. At Regent, our goal is to integrate our Christian mission with how we support our faculty and staff. Our faith commitments call us to keep investing in our faculty and staff with the same intentionality we bring to serving our students. This recognition belongs to every employee who brings that calling to life each day.”
