Kristen Kansiewicz, Ph.D., LPC

Bio

Dr. Kristen Kansiewicz is an Associate Professor of Counseling at Regent University. She teaches within the CACREP-accredited Master’s- and doctoral-level programs, focusing on research, dissertation, and statistics courses along with clinical mental health courses.

Dr. Kansiewicz is a Licensed Professional Counselor who developed the Church Therapy model of integrating clinical mental health services into church settings. She served as a Master’s-level CACREP core faculty member at Evangel University for five years, leading as Program Director for two and a half years. Along with numerous research articles, she co-authored a book with Dr. Paul Loosemore titled, Engaging in Counseling Research with Curiosity and Wisdom: A Christian Integrative Approach (2026; IVP Academic). She is currently under contract with Cognella working on a new book exploring evidence-based treatments (expected release late 2027 or early 2028).
