Equipping Warriors for the Courtroom

Your support is making Randy Singer’s vision a reality — training advocates who defend truth and freedom.

In a courtroom, one voice can change everything.

For 40 years, that belief has defined attorney, pastor, author, and Regent Senior Lecturing Fellow Randy Singer. His commitment to Christ and passion for students anchor the newly launched Singer Center for Advocacy at Regent’s School of Law.

“An advocate is a warrior,” Singer says. “We want advocates chasing a life of impact.”

The Center grew from Randy’s long-held dream to equip Christian lawyers who treat advocacy as sacred work — a dream that recently became urgent.

Randy is battling stage 4 esophageal cancer. By God’s grace, the cancer is “shrinking back” — but he isn’t. The diagnosis fueled
his drive to invest in the next generation now.

“The whole thing just feels so surreal because I had this vision before I was diagnosed,” he explains. “Everything happened so fast. I wasn’t trying to put my name on it but friends and the dean got behind it and made it happen.”

Others have joined him, including Pamela Hutchens, a former judge and prosecutor, who will serve as Associate Director.

“We want students to advocate in a principled way based on biblical values and the values on which our nation was founded.”

Your support enables students to attend Regent Law and access the Singer Center’s trial preparation, mentorship, and real-world training — shaping them into advocates who serve with excellence and humility.

“Lawyers have this opportunity to come into someone’s life at their lowest point,” Singer says. “A pivotal point in their life… and do something substantial to help them emotionally and spiritually. That integration isn’t taught anywhere except schools like Regent.”

As our nation marks its 250th anniversary, this work matters more than ever. Your partnership is preparing advocates to defend America’s founding principles with both conviction and compassion.

“Our freedoms require constant vigilance,” Singer says. “We want students to advocate in a principled way based on biblical values and the values on which our nation was founded.”

The Center’s work is just beginning. Your gift equips advocates who will carry the torch of faith and freedom into courtrooms — giving voice to the voiceless across the nation.

“When you give to Regent University and the Singer Center for Advocacy,” Singer says, “you’re giving to students who are preparing to go out and be part
of the battle.”
