Regent's Government program transforms you into a Christian man or woman who can critically evaluate the social and political systems in the world with confidence and discernment. The integration of the Christian faith will be a central component of the education you achieve. Upon graduating, you will be in a position to put your knowledge and skills to work in service to Christ and government.
With Regent's Government program, you will study the classic and contemporary moral and philosophical foundations that have long driven past and present government systems. You will learn how governments make rules governing society and the reasoning behind them. Furthermore, your Regent professors will offer you their own academic and professional experiences in government and political science to support and challenge you in the development of your own ideas about governance and society.
Through this online and on campus program, you will easily remain connected to classmates and professors through class forums, blogs, online discussion groups, and the latest version of Blackboard, a technology providing a premier online learning atmosphere. If you are an on campus student, just stop in. The Department Chair, Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riano, loves to meet with his students.
Regent's Government program will prepare you for careers in government, law, the non-profit sector, diplomacy, international service, law enforcement, business, journalism, teaching, and further post-baccalaureate education in political science or government.
