Apply to the LL.M. in Human Rights Program

Application Procedures

  • Applicants should apply via the LSAC online application for admission at www.lsac.org.  Applicants should carefully review the instructions on the application for further details and document requirements.
  • An application fee of $50 (payable online) is due at the time of application.  
  • Fall term applications may be submitted after October 1 preceding the desired August enrollment with priority admission and financial aid consideration given to applications submitted by February.
  • Spring term applications may be submitted after February 1 preceding the desired January enrollment.  Priority consideration will be given to applications for admission and financial aid submitted by June 15 preceding the desired January enrollment. Initial U.S. attendees are strongly encouraged to pursue fall admission.
  • Late applications will be considered on a space-available basis, though international students who wish to study on campus have firm deadlines regarding the issuance of their I20. 
  • Please note: the Admissions Committee begins the application-review process after the Office of Admissions has received all required items.

Applying an International Student

The School of Law welcomes applications from citizens of other countries.

  • Applicants must have a "J.D. equivalent" degree; they must show that their degree qualifies them to practice law in their home country or that they are eligible for licensure.
  • Regarding eligibility Regent University School of Law is not able to certify J.D. equivalency. Applicants wishing to obtain credential evaluation should solicit the services of a recognized agency such as www.wes.org.
  • Applicants whose transcripts are not in English must subscribe to the services of a recognized credential evaluation agency such as www.wes.org.
  • TOEFL - Applicants should submit at minimum one of the following scores on the TOEFL exam: 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 100 (internet-based); or
  • IELTS/PTE - You may also submit the following scores in lieu of the TOEFL: 7 (internet-based) on the IELTS exam, or 68 (internet-based) on the PTE Academic exam.
