MBA Association (MBAA)
The MBA Association (MBAA) is a professional organization of leaders, entrepreneurs and future business leaders of the School of Business and Leadership’s students, alumni and faculty. The goal of the MBAA is to cultivate a deep sense of a Christ-centered community and develop connections for its members.
Mission:
The MBAA seeks to develop and maintain a network of executives, CEOs, and start-up professionals. It seeks to provide resources to its members to gain knowledge and exposure in various sectors of business as well as assist with job opportunities when possible. The MBAA strives to serve our members in a way that glorifies God by helping them to hold fast to Regent University’s mission of Christian Leadership to Change the World.

“Dr. Bob” serves as a Policy Director for the Department of Homeland Security where he leads the development of training policy for the US Coast Guard and its 8 Training Centers across the nation, as well as a professor for the School of Business & Leadership for Regent University. Recently, he served as the lead consultant and writer for a multi-year talent management initiative for DHS, ultimately securing $500M in resources.
Prior to coming to DHS and Regent, he served as a teacher for Virginia Beach Public Schools and was an instructional designer for mid and senior-level leadership courses for the DoD. Over the past two years, he has spearheaded an international initiative driven by Edify Online to partner with MIT-World Peace University where he designs, develops, and facilitates Design Entrepreneurship and Strategic Business courses for students in Pune, India.
Dr. Bob served over 21 years in the U.S. Army, and along with deployments to Saudi Arabia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, he managed to navigate his way through school and earned the Master Training Specialist (MTS) designation. He is a regular contributor to US Veterans magazine, Higher Education Digest, and USO Pathfinders, and also serves on the board of Viqtory Media.
He earned his BA in Music and MA in Liberal Arts from Thomas Edison State College and earned a master’s degree in education and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University. Bob resides with his wife who is a USMC veteran and their youngest son.
Leah Williams-Rumbley

Leah Williams-Rumbley currently serves as the Chief Impact and Operations Officer of YWCA South Hampton Roads. She returned “home” to this organization in July of 2025. She has 27 years of senior leadership experience in the nonprofit community services sector. At YWCA SHR, Leah integrates strategic program leadership with internal operations to ensure mission-driven excellence, organizational efficiency, and meaningful and measurable community impact.
In her former role as Chief Programs and Innovation Officer for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, she oversaw innovative community feeding initiatives and stewarded relationships with elected and appointed officials, key community partners, stakeholders, and the business community. She also successfully leveraged functional expertise to diagnose challenges and root causes of complex issues. Leah is passionate about changing lives and leverages her knowledge and connections in the community to bring worthy partners to the table with the goal of centering the community in the work.
Mrs. Williams-Rumbley holds an undergraduate degree in General Studies focusing on Business Administration from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from Regent University. She actively serves on various community boards and committees such as Women United, Virginia Ed Strategies, and The Up Center. She is a past chair of the Norfolk Division board of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and an alumna of regional and statewide leadership enhancement programs, LEAD Hampton Roads and LEAD Virginia. In November 2024, Leah received a Gubernatorial appointment to serve on the Task Force on Support Services for Survivors of Sexual Assault.
Roger Orozco

A results-oriented leader, Roger Orozco is the VP of Strategy & Asset Management at Bishard Development Corporation, driving portfolio value through strategic planning, capital deployment, and efficient asset management. His skills include financial analysis and performance optimization. Qualified with an MBA, PMP, and Class A Contractor License, Roger previously served as Executive Director at Bishard Development Corp, leading significant growth, and held strategic roles at Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America. A native of Nicaragua, he has lived in Virginia Beach, VA, with his family since 2001 and is the Founder of the nonprofit Just One Opportunity, which serves remote villages of Nicaragua.
Rhodonna Boyd

Rhodonna Boyd is an entrepreneur, trainer, and minister with a diverse background in sales, real estate, and ministry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University and an MBA in Organizational Change and Development from Regent University. She also earned an online Certificate of Ministry from the Ministers Training Institute and was later ordained as a prophet at the Kingdom Embassy Ministry.
Rhodonna spent over 13 years as a high-performing sales representative, developing expertise in client relationships, business growth, and service excellence. As an entrepreneur in the real estate space, she is an award-winning REALTOR®, agent trainer, and course creator. Her course equips new real estate professionals with the tools, mindset, and strategies to succeed beyond licensing.
In addition to her business accomplishments, she created and led a live, interactive Virtual Bible Study for nearly a decade and has launched several online initiatives focused on spiritual growth and discipleship. She is the author of three books: Take No Thought, Godly Couples, and Refreshed Daily: A 21-Day Devotional.
Rhodonna has been featured as a guest on global television platforms such as the Believer’s Voice of Victory (BVOV) and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). Now based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, she remains committed to equipping others with the practical knowledge, confidence, and character to lead effectively in every sphere of life.
Danny Varghese

Danny Varghese earned his MBA in Finance from Regent University in 2006 and currently resides in Yorktown, Virginia, with his wife and two sons.
He brings over two decades of finance experience across the media, technology, and wholesale distribution industries. He began his career at Landmark Communications, where he led the finance group at The Virginian-Pilot Media Companies and later directed financial analytics at ForRent.com, delivering strategic insights and driving operational performance.
Today, Danny serves as the Senior Business Finance Manager at Ferguson Enterprises, where he leads the finance team supporting Category Management and Gross Margins. In this role, he collaborates closely with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making, optimize profitability, and strengthen enterprise-wide margin visibility.
Outside of work, Danny is passionate about travel—aiming to visit two to three countries each year—and enjoys playing guitar in his spare time.
Dr. Jeannine Bennett

Dr. Jeannine Bennett, MBA ’03, is a visionary entrepreneur, author, and professor dedicated to helping individuals advance their careers, businesses, and writing goals. As Founder and CEO of Vision to Purpose (Visiontopurpose.com), she leads a team committed to providing expert career coaching, business strategy, and writing solutions.
With over 30 years of expertise, Dr. Bennett has worked with organizations such as the Department of Defense, NASA, and Booz Allen Hamilton. She also serves on various boards and is a military liaison for Women in Defense, supporting service members transitioning into civilian careers. As a professor and research chair, she mentors doctoral candidates and teaches leadership and business courses, helping develop future industry leaders.
Dr. Bennett has served as Executive Coach with The Honor Foundation (THF) since 2018. THF is a unique transition institute created exclusively for the U.S. Special Operations community. THF provides a clear process for professional development and a diverse ecosystem of world-class support and technology. Every step is dedicated to preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service careers.
Michael Paris
City of Norfolk

Michael Paris is an experienced economic development professional with over 17 years of expertise in driving new business growth, workforce development, and strategic initiatives. He currently serves as Assistant Director of the City of Norfolk’s Economic Development Department and Secretary-Treasurer of the Norfolk Economic Development Authority, providing strategic leadership and support across areas including business retention and expansion, workforce services, redevelopment efforts, and interagency collaboration.
He has led multiple award-winning projects recognized by the International Economic Development Council, including the launch of Norfolk Works and the city’s Business Retention & Expansion program. Michael excels at fostering strong partnerships across the public and private sectors, managing complex development projects, administering economic zones, and coordinating with local, regional, and state-level stakeholders to advance economic development initiatives.
Michael holds an MBA from Regent University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
Michael grew up in Massachusetts. Having called Hampton Roads home for over 20 years now, he feels truly blessed to share his life with his wonderful wife and two daughters.
Dr. Chambala Roach

Dr. Chambala Roach is the Program Manager of Military Affairs at HCA Healthcare, where she champions HCA Healthcare’s commitment to connecting service members, veterans, and military spouses with meaningful careers. Chambala helps develop recruitment programs and support networks that help military community members translate their service experience and values into fulfilling roles at HCA.
Prior to serving in this role, she was a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, VA, where she joined HCA Healthcare in October 2023 following a distinguished 25-year career as a senior non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. During her military career, which began in 1998, Chambala served initially as a combat medic before transitioning to human resource specialist and career recruiter roles. In her final military assignment, she served as Station Commander for the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) while concurrently holding a position as Adjunct Professor for William & Mary’s ROTC department.
In these roles, she demonstrated a deep commitment to developing future Army leaders and managing the education, acquisition, and scholarship processes for healthcare professionals dedicated to serving Army personnel and their dependents. Chambala holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from Regent University and a Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) from Regent University. She is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Simon Matthews, MBA

Simon P. Matthews is the CEO and founder of Open Door Media Solutions, LLC, a faith-driven marketing strategy and creative agency established in December 2015. With a strong foundation in both business and engineering, Simon brings a unique blend of operational insight and creative vision to every client engagement.
He holds an MBA with a concentration in Marketing and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership (DSL) at Regent University. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Simon spent 11 years in the manufacturing industry, where he served as an engineer and later as the operations manager. During his four-year tenure in that leadership role, he managed a multimillion-dollar budget and led the company to achieve 20 to 30 percent increases in gross profit year over year.
Simon has successfully applied the same strategic thinking and problem-solving ability to help clients overcome challenges and reach goals they once thought impossible. At Open Door Media Solutions, he leads a team dedicated to positioning clients for success, particularly in STEM-related industries and professional services.

Dr. Seth Stone

Dr. Seth Stone is a professor, researcher, executive advisor, and consultant. He regularly advises leaders on issues relating to organizational design, culture, and leadership development. He also serves on the Board of Directors for a U.S.-based credit union as both a director and as the Secretary of the Board. Dr. Stone has more than 20 years of experience across many industries in the corporate and nonprofit sectors, including finance, education, and legal services. He has held several key senior leadership roles in Human Resources (HR) and Organizational Development (OD).
His research interests include leadership, organizational behavior, toxic leadership & organizational health, neuroscience in leadership & decision-making, and innovation. Dr. Stone has one book to his credit, as well as numerous peer-reviewed scholarly articles and conference presentations. He holds a Doctor in Strategic Leadership (DSL) and an MBA from Regent University and is currently pursuing an additional Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Neuroscience at King’s College London. He also holds a degree in Management & Business from Skidmore College.
Linda Santiago-King, MBA

Linda Santiago-King serves as the co-founder and president of the MBA Association, a unique initiative of the School of Business and Leadership (SBL) of Regent University. She also serves as Treasurer on the Women in Defense Board and serves on the Hampton Roads Leadership Prayer Breakfast Board of Directors.
Motivated by the overarching need for community, connection, and resources for MBA Students and alumni, as well as the encouragement of her executive mentor, the MBA Association was born. For Linda, the MBA program has stirred up a strong passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to contribute to Regent’s mission to change the world through innovation, excellence, integrity, and Christian leadership.
Linda began her career in the US Army as a combat medic and moved on to serve as a practical nurse, all while relentlessly pursuing a college education. As a Sergeant First Class, she was accepted to the Army Enlisted Commissioning Program, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Columbus University, and was commissioned in the US Army Nurse Corp. Her overseas assignments include a tour in Egypt with the Multinational Force and Observers, where her walk with God and baptism in the Red Sea not only took root, but changed her forever. A wife of 31 years, and a mother of four, (including two Regent graduates), she currently serves with Regent’s Military Resource Center where she espouses the mission and vision of Regent’s founder, Dr. Pat Robertson.
LTC Toby Crandall
United States Army

LTC Toby Crandall is a native of Hertford, North Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State. He also holds a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Regent University and is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Leadership from the same institution.
Today, LTC Crandall is an experienced Army Leader with more than 20 years of federal service. He has traveled to sixteen countries and has had numerous tactical and strategic military assignments. While serving as a Company Commander, he maintained unified command and control of troops deployed in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan, executing wartime missions. During his assignment as the Chief of Engineering, Toby worked alongside US State Department subject matter experts to design and commission strategic telecommunications networks in Southeast Asia. A notable assignment has been serving as the Chief Data Officer for the Army Talent Management Innovation Directorate. His contribution includes leading multiple cross-functional teams to conceive, design, resource, and deliver a customer large language model for assessing and assigning Soldier talent management theories.
