Royal Path Meet Royal Path. New for Students. Powered by Ellucian. See How it Works

What is Royal Path?

With Royal Path, powered by Ellucian Smart Plan, you can build a degree plan, register for courses, and collaborate seamlessly with your academic advisor. Advisors use the same platform to build, review, and customize plans — guiding you through important milestones from your first term to commencement.

Royal Path streamlines planning and keeps you informed about anything that affects your progress at Regent, but it does not replace academic advising. Keep connecting with your advisor to review official progress, and continue tracking completion in Degree Works, which remains the official record and works alongside Royal Path.

Note: Royal Path doesn’t replace your advisor. Degree works remains the official record of your progress.

1.) Sign in to MyRegent

Go to MyRegent and sign in with your normal Regent login and password — there’s no new account to create.

2.) Open Royal Path

Find Royal Path on your MyRegent dashboard and open your plan to see your degree mapped out term by term.

3.) Review With your Advisor

Talk through your plan with your academic advisor, make any adjustments together, then register when your term opens.

Can courses be moved in Royal Path?

Yes. Drag any planned course to a different term and Royal Path re-checks prerequisites, sequencing, and term availability. When you validate the plan, you can choose to minimize changes (keep your preferences) or minimize time to degree (the shortest path to graduation).

Can I block times I’m not available to take classes?

Yes. Block recurring commitments — work shifts, family time, a commute — and when you validate your plan, Royal Path keeps those blocks and schedules course sections into your open windows. If a required class only meets during a blocked time, it flags the conflict so you and your advisor can plan around it.

Does Royal Path use artificial intelligence?

No. Royal Path is built on transparent, deterministic, rule-driven logic — not machine-learning or generative AI. Every recommendation follows your program’s published requirements and your advisor’s guidelines.

Does Royal Path replace my advisor or Degree Works?

No. Royal Path streamlines planning and keeps you informed, but you should keep meeting with your advisor. Degree Works will remain the official record of your progress toward your degree.

How do I register for classes?

When registration opens, your planned term is already built. Review it, validate it, and submit — you can register with any saved plan. Advisor approval is not required.
