Regent University’s Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence is a 30-credit, fully online graduate program designed to equip professionals with advanced expertise in AI theory, development, and deployment. By combining a rigorous conceptual foundation with hands-on application, the program is structured to help students develop the skills needed to guide the strategic and responsible use of AI across a range of professional contexts. Grounded in a Christian worldview, the program addresses both the technical and ethical dimensions of AI, including how to apply these powerful tools as instruments to honor God and serve others.

Rather than focusing primarily on mathematical abstraction, the program is designed to develop practical expertise in building, managing, and deploying AI systems in real-world contexts. Students can work with AI technologies and tools with an emphasis on hands-on usage, best practices, and applied problem-solving.
A Christian Perspective on AI
AI raises some of the most pressing ethical questions of our time. This program is designed to address those questions head-on from a biblical worldview — with dedicated coursework in cybersecurity ethics and, optionally, the social, political, and theological implications of technology to promote ethical grounding.
Interdisciplinary Electives for a Range of Career Paths
Students can choose three elective courses from a diverse menu that spans AI for business decision-making, AI-driven innovation and entrepreneurship, AI in education, educational technology, government and policy, and organizational leadership. With this flexibility, students can tailor the degree to the professional context in which they intend to apply their expertise.

All students are expected to check-in for the semester two weeks before the session start date. Students should apply, be accepted, enroll in their first courses, and confirm a plan to pay for their courses prior to this date.

Admissions Requirements
Step 1: Apply to Regent University
Submit your application using the Regent University Online Application.

Step 2: Submit Your Unofficial Transcripts
Submit your unofficial transcripts to regent.edu/items.
Upon submitting your application, you will receive an email requesting authorization for Regent University to obtain your official transcripts from your U.S. degree-granting institution. International transcripts must be evaluated by a NACES or NAFSA approved agency.
Step 3: Submit Your Government-Issued ID
To ensure academic integrity, Regent University requires a copy of a government-issued ID. Please submit a scanned copy or photograph of it to regent.edu/items.
