Sherry Todd, Ph.D.

Bio

Dr. Sherry M. Todd is a tenured Professor and Clinical Director for the Counseling Department in the School of Psychology & Counseling. She has served as core faculty in CACREP-accredited counseling programs since 2010 and held several academic leadership roles. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Registered Art Therapist, and Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist with over two decades of experience in trauma evaluation, crisis response, and disaster mental health. Dr. Todd is a Diplomate with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, serves on the Board of Directors for Green Cross Academy of Traumatology, and is an Advanced Pain Reprocessing Therapy Practitioner. Her background spans juvenile corrections, urban education systems, emergency services, and community mental health. She is the recipient of multiple awards for clinical work, counselor education and supervision, and research. Dr. Todd is also a Premier Speaker with the National Center for Crisis Management. She brings a dynamic blend of academic rigor, clinical depth, and field experience to trauma-focused practice and education.
