Dunamis Project #3: The Power of Prayer
The School of Divinity community is invited to participate in an upcoming retreat hosted by Presbyterian Reformed Ministries International (PRMI), entitled Dunamis Project #3: The Power of Prayer.
The Dunamis Project aligns closely with Regent University’s vision to be the most influential, transformational Christian university in the world and its motto, “Christian Leadership to Change the World”. Both are fundamentally about equipping Spirit-empowered leaders for ministry that transforms lives across the globe. Regent serves as a center of Christian thought and action, preparing leaders for purpose and service through a biblical perspective and global context, and Dunamis pursues the same end, equipping men and women to grow in leadership and cooperate with the Holy Spirit “in whatever part of the world you may live.” The fit is especially natural given the School of Divinity’s renewal emphasis: just as Regent’s renewal tradition holds that the Spirit’s empowering work is essential to effective Christian service, Dunamis is built on the conviction that we cannot minister effectively without receiving the power (dunamis) of the Holy Spirit. Through its blend of systematic biblical teaching and hands-on practice, the project advances precisely the kind of transformational, biblically grounded leadership formation that lies at the heart of Regent’s mission.
