New Student Orientation

Welcome to our newest Regent Royals! Before you begin your first semester, we have prepared New Student Orientation, to build your confidence, help you learn some important ins and outs of college life, and have some fun together! You will connect with student leaders, learn how to navigate classes, and get a good feel for your new campus life. New Student Orientation is a mandatory event for all first-time freshmen and transfer students ages 23 and younger.

Schedule

New Student Orientation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2026 – Friday, August 21, 2026. Move In information will be emailed directly from Res Life. The New Student Orientation schedule is subject to change and will be finalized by July 2026.

FAQs

Where and when do I check-in?

Residential Students: Please arrive at your assigned residence halls according to your move-in time, which will be designated. Check-in for housing and orientation will be a single process.

Commuting Students: Please arrive at the Dede Robertson Student Center Lobby on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Is Registration required for this event?

When you sign up for housing, you are automatically registered for New Student Orientation.

If you are a commuter student, you are registered upon enrollment. On the first day of Orientation, August 19, 2026, you will need to check in at the Dede Robertson Student Center Lobby from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Will food be provided?

Students will be provided lunch on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and Thursday, August 20, 2026. Please see the New Student Orientation schedule for mealtimes.

Will there be programming for parents and guests?

Parents and guests are welcome to attend the following sessions on Monday, August 17, 2026, and Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The sessions are identical on both days.
