Graduation Preparation

Congratulations! As you are preparing for your final year at Regent University, there are several important details that you need to know to ensure your graduation process will go smoothly. Several departments across Regent University are working together to assist you in this process. Refer to the Commencement website often to find the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding graduation. If you have additional questions that you cannot find here, please contact the Registrar's Office.

Graduation Application

In order to participate in the 2017 Commencement Ceremony and to officially graduate, candidates for graduation must first complete a degree application. Complete the graduation or certificate application here. The deadline for graduation applications is September 15 for fall graduates and December 1 for spring and summer graduates. A $25 late fee will be assessed on all first time applications submitted past the deadline. Information regarding degree clearance can be found here as well.

Degree Clearance/Posting

Wondering when your degree will be posted? Information about the degree clearance proccess can be found here. For information regarding your specific paperwork, please contact your staff advisor or your school's academic/student services manager.

Student Loan Exit Counseling

If you are graduating from your degree program and utilized federal student loans, you must complete Loan Exit Counseling before you can receive your final official transcript and diploma.  Loan Exit Counseling can be completed online at You can also attend an on-campus exit counseling group session at the end of the semester.

Commencement Ceremony

Commencement 2017 will be held on the Regent University campus in Virginia Beach on Saturday, May 6, 2017. In the past, the processional has begun promptly at 9:25 a.m. and the ceremony had ended at approximately noon.

Regalia Purchase

Candidates who have been approved for graduation and participation in the 2016 Commencement ceremony must purchase regalia directly from Oak Hall. Regalia orders for the 2016 Commencement ceremony will be accepted in early 2016. Check back for more information.
