Regent University invites you to meet with an admissions counselor at our campus in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Guided campus tours provide you with a close and personal look at Regent University and the amenities it has to offer. This is a general tour of the university where you can receive information about Regent’s degrees, admissions process, and financial aid.

History

The University was founded in 1978 as a School of Communication. It was originally named CBN University .

Dr M.G. "Pat" Robertson, Founder and President of the Christian Broadcasting Network, had an inspired vision of establishing a graduate-level institution that would train mature men and women for the challenge of representing Christ in their professions. That vision has now expanded to include a complete four-year undergraduate institution as well, known as The School of Undergraduate Studies.

Dr. Robertson serves as Regent's Chancellor, Acting President, and he serves on the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Robertson continues to play a major role in the University.

Stop 1:

The Library

The Regent Library offers close to one million volumes of reference materials to online and on-campus students. The same year the Library opened, 1984, Regent received full accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

Stop 2:

Robertson Hall

It is a 130,000 square foot building and houses classrooms and a 400 seat moot courtroom. The administrative and faculty offices for the School of Law, Government, Divinity, and Undergrad are located here as well as the offices for the American Center for Law and Justice.

Stop 3:

The Communication and Performing Arts

The Communication building houses all the functions of the School of Communication and the Arts. It opened in the fall of 2002 and includes a 720-seat arch theatre, a 200-seat Studio Theatre, a TV studio, non-linear video editing suites, costume and scene shops, acting and dance labs, two film screening theatres, a complete film production suite, a computer graphics animation studio, a converged media journalism newsroom and a film back lot.

Stop 4:

The Student Center

The Student Center is the hub for student interaction. Within the Student Center are offices for Student Services, Central Financial Aid, Central Enrollment, and the Registrar. Also located within is our University Bookstore and the Regent Ordinary. The Ordinary is our new dining facility which is operated by our wonderful chefs; therefore it is so much better than cafeteria food.
