
The Department of Business & Leadership equips students with the technical competence, communication skills, and the personal confidence in critical thinking and decision making to meet the global leadership challenges of the twenty-first century. The faculty is called and the curriculum is designed to prepare our students for entering or continuing in today’s organizations as Christian leaders who can succeed in their careers and life while faithfully adhering to their worldview beliefs.
Department Faculty has completed a thorough reappraisal of our curriculum and degree programs, developing a plan for building on past successes. We are committed to growing in numbers and in the quality of our academic offerings in our spiritually and intellectually exciting community.
Students are challenged through innovative face-to-face and virtual classroom learning experiences. On campus and online courses employ Blackboard technology, audio and visual presentations, group projects, and interactive learning. Our students enjoy learning with fellow Christians who are dedicated to preparation for and participation in the Lord’s work globally.
Business & Leadership offers two majors: Organizational Leadership & Management and Global Business. The Organizational Leadership and Management major gives students the choice of either a non-quantitative Leadership emphasis or an Management emphasis. The latter is designed for students considering further work toward the Master of Business Administration or direct entry into a management career. The Global Business major focuses on providing the leadership and management, global marketing, cross-cultural understanding, ethics, and technical skills for students interested in careers in organizations operating globally.
The Leadership minor is offered to equip students majoring in other disciplines with the leadership competencies required to succeed as leaders in their professional callings. Some Global Business majors also minor in Leadership, for example.
