Michael Barone, Senior Writer, U.S. News & World Report, graduated from Harvard College and Yale Law School, where he served, respectively, as editor of the Harvard Crimson and the Yale Law Journal. His books include The Almanac of American Politics (16th ed.), The New Americans: How the Melting Pot Can Work Again, and Our Country: The Shaping of America from Roosevelt to Reagan. His travels have taken him to all 50 states, to all 435 congressional districts, and to 37 foreign countries. He regularly appears on the McLaughlin Group and the Fox News Channel.
