The Ph.D. degree generally serves three purposes, teaching, research, and administration. The doctoral studies program in the School of Communication and the Arts at Regent University works closely with the new Center for Digital Media to meet the needs of students seeking a career in one of these three areas.
The program prepares students to enter the college workforce, to fill research positions, or to function in top level administrative positions within digital media organizations, research firms, businesses of various types, non-profit organizations, para-church ministries, and other types of organizations in need of highly skilled communication and/or arts professionals.
The School makes an intense effort to develop scholars who are able to integrate a Judeo-Christian worldview with their chosen discipline within communication as they teach, conduct research, and practice their professions.
