International Study Opportunities
Regent offers avenues for international law education. Along with the Center for Global Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law and an active International Law Society, Regent Law offers a wonderful opportunity in Pohang, South Korea for students interested in studying law in an international context.
Students taking advantage of international educational opportunities may study international law or law relating to the host country. Each offers a unique opportunity to travel while learning and spend an entire semester experiencing a new culture and legal system.
Educational objectives of foreign study:
- To enrich the student’s perspective on the law by seeing law in the context of a foreign governmental-judicial system;
- To see and appreciate the socio-legal environment of the destination country;
- To study specific topic areas of law with an international/comparative focus.
Pohang, South Korea: Handong International Law School
South Korea now boasts the third-largest Asian economy and is also of great diplomatic and strategic importance to China, Russia, Japan, and the United States. Regent Law has enjoyed a relationship with Handong International Law School in Pohang, South Korea. Student and professor exchanges enrich both schools.
Duration: Fall/Spring semesters
Coursework: Students choose from courses offered by Handong University.
Faculty: Handong University faculty (courses taught in English).
Location: Handong is located in Pohang, South Korea, a growing city of nearly 500,000. The campus sits atop a hill overlooking the Sea of Japan.
