Abstract

The Lead the Future curriculum is a comprehensive campaign focused on seeing the youth of every country rein in their energy and creativity to make meaningful decisions that yield positive leadership. Acknowledging the magnitude of dynamism in the world and the astronomic youth population, yet the disconnect between current-aged global leadership and the need for future-proof political succession. Thus, to foster active youth engagement in policy and political leadership, it is critical to strategically plan by building a system that encourages increased youth participation.

The Lead the Future curriculum is hinged on the foundation of the 5Cs of positive youth leadership. Richard M. Lerner’s 5 Cs are Competency, Confidence, Connection, Character and Caring. Following the presence of these 5 attributes, a sixth C follows, which is Contribution, the point where society enjoys the emergence of positive youth participation. Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today presents a pragmatic extracurricular training to empower youths with the skills and real-life experience that position them for transformative leadership.
