Regent University’s School of Education to Host Second Annual Virtual Research Symposium

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (April 9, 2026) — On April 17, Regent University’s School of Education will host its second annual Research Symposium, a free virtual event that will bring together graduate students, faculty, and alumni for a full day of research presentations, scholarly dialogue, and professional networking. Scholars and practitioners are invited to attend virtually to hear presentations on Current Trends in the Field of Education, including research, dissertations, papers, conceptual discussions, and book and article reviews.

The School of Education Research Symposium will feature presentations spanning a wide range of timely educational topics, including teacher and administrator preparation, mental health in K-12 and higher education, financial and policy topics, and the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in learning environments. Sessions are designed to support faculty in showcasing their latest research while assisting students and alumni in various aspects of graduate studies and development.

The symposium’s presentations will center around three strategic goals:

  • Fostering a collaborative and inclusive community
  • Amplifying impact and driving innovation
  • Applying Biblical perspectives and faith integration

The keynote address will be delivered by Keri D. Ingraham, Ed.D., Senior Fellow at Discovery Institute and Director of the Institute’s American Center for Transforming Education, who serves as a Senior Fellow at Independent Women’s Forum. Ingraham is a widely recognized voice in national education policy, with work published by outlets including The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and National Review, and she has advised Cabinet members, governors, and members of the U.S. Congress. She is also a proud alumna of Regent University, holding both a Doctor of Education and a Master of Education from the institution.

“At Regent’s School of Education, our annual Research Symposium reflects our deep commitment to advancing scholarship that transforms education through innovation, collaboration, and faith,” said Kurt Kreassig, Ed.D., Dean of Regent University’s School of Education. “This gathering of scholars, students, and practitioners demonstrates how rigorous research, grounded in biblical principles, can shape the future of learning and leadership in ways that honor both truth and transformation.”

The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 17. Attendee registration is open through April 13. To register or learn more about Research Symposium 2026, visit regent.edu/education/research.
